This area is located (1.5 miles) from Winchelsea itself and is just inland, between coast road and the sea with its shingle landscape known as “The Ridges” The beach itself faces Rye Bay, the estuary of the River Rother. This area is where marshland meets the sea and is haven for species of birds and dog walkers.
